Manama, May 22 (BNA): Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam affirmed that tolerance, coexistence and peace are deeply rooted in Bahraini society, pointing to the promotion of these valuable values through pioneering projects and global initiatives. Within the framework of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Speaker pointed out the parliament’s keenness to take advantage of parliamentary diplomacy to highlight Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilizational features, as well as its multicultural and diverse society known for its adherence to human and national values.
Al-Musallam’s remarks came during his meeting here today with the president and members of the Bahraini Society for Tolerance and Religious Coexistence.
The speaker praised the role played by civil society in spreading the values of tolerance, coexistence and peace, which reflect Bahrain’s global role in the humanitarian and civil fields.
Bozboun reviewed Tayoush’s plans and programmes. He expressed his gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament for his support of non-governmental organizations that contribute to the consolidation of Bahrain’s values of coexistence, tolerance and peace.
