Manama, May 13 (BNA) Parliament Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal sent a cable of condolences to Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash following the death of the Head of State. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
She expressed her sincere condolences to the government and people of the UAE, praying to the Almighty God to bless the deceased with the vastness of his mercy and grant him peace.
It highlighted the outstanding achievements of the late president that contributed to the advancement of his country, and his humanitarian initiatives that benefited the Arab and Islamic peoples, in addition to all of humanity.
She recalled the effective and pivotal role played by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, the late president, in strengthening the UAE-Bahraini brotherly relations, as well as in promoting political, development and humanitarian work throughout the region.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives sent a similar telegram to the country’s ambassador to Bahrain, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
