SpaceX Dragon capsule returns from ISS after resupply mission

Washington, Jan. 25 (BNA): An unmanned SpaceX Dragon capsule carrying cargo fell off the coast of Florida on Monday after completing a resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Loaded with two tons of scientific equipment and blood samples provided by the International Space Station crew, the Dragon, loaded with two tons of scientific equipment and blood samples provided by the International Space Station crew, emerged from the orbital position Sunday morning, German news agency dpa reported.

The crew, made up of US astronauts Kayla Barron and Thomas Marshburne and German astronaut Matthias Maurer, sent blood samples to be used as part of medical examinations of the long-term impact of space travel on people’s eyesight.

The Dragon capsule was scheduled to leave for Earth on Friday, but NASA postponed the exercise due to bad weather in Florida.

The Falcon 9 rocket brought equipment, research materials and crew supplies to the International Space Station.
