South Korea, U.S. hold counter-drone drills

Seoul, Feb. 12 (BNA): South Korea and the United States conducted joint anti-drone exercises at a US air base in a southwestern city last week, US military photos showed Sunday, as Seoul seeks to boost readiness.

Pictures released on the Pentagon’s Defense Visual Information Distribution Service on Friday showed the drill taking place at Kunsan Air Base in Gunsan, 275 kilometers south of Seoul, on Tuesday, Yonhap news agency reported.

One photo shows a US Air Force officer aiming a “drone” at a small simulating enemy drone. The drone is a radio frequency jammer that can neutralize enemy drones, according to the US military.
