As a software engineer, you will be responsible for deploying software solutions to our oil and gas clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade and configure SCADA and production optimization systems
Create screens, workflows, and reports to support customer and SCADA operations
Interact with customers to understand and solve product problems
– Provide support for third party application based on business need
Provide customized solutions, utilities and system integration using scripts along with related procedural documentation and reports
– Participate in software testing during the release cycle as an end customer
– Determine the cause of the reported problem by debugging the program / scripts and if necessary correct it or report it to the developers
Provides support to internal and external clients working on consulting projects that use the Company’s Improvement Program.
Gain a solid understanding of production improvement products and how they work from the perspective of users.
– Capable of troubleshooting problems with SCADA hardware and radio communications
– Training users to use and manage the system
Intensive domestic and foreign travel requires 50-75%
Experience in deploying and debugging enterprise software in a Microsoft environment
– Excellent debugging/knowledge of .Net, C#, SQL, Oracle, HTML5, PowerShell, TypeScript, IIS and Angular
Knowledge of Microsoft Server operating system
Experience in SQL Server Administration
Experience with ETL techniques and tools
Experience in integrating applications
Exposure to open source analytics
– Improve or make custom changes in existing facilities, and batch scheduling
– Exposure to software support
Knowledge of the Windows programming environment
Knowledge of web security, authentication and authorization
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage crisis situations calmly
Ability to plan in advance and organize daily and weekly tasks
– Ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience in troubleshooting similar role and diagnosing hardware and software problems
Experience working with SCADA software and hardware
