Manama, July 6 (BNA) The Minister of Social Development, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al-Asfour, received the Minister of Health, Dr. Jalila Jawad Hassan.
They reviewed the services provided by the two ministries to citizens, and discussed ways to develop them in order to achieve the highest possible level of service for citizens, especially for people of determination and the elderly. The Ministry of Social Development provides these groups with shelters, rehabilitation centers and day clubs for the care of the elderly.
The Minister of Social Development affirmed the ministry’s keenness on the necessity of strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Health in the relevant fields, and striving towards achieving common development and humanitarian goals between the two sides for the benefit of the country and citizens.
The Minister of Health expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Development to strengthen the protection and social care system, in line with the government’s directives aimed at providing the best services to citizens.
