Smart City Summit 2023 kicks off in May

Manama, March 19 (BNA): The sixth session of the Smart Cities Summit 2023 Committee (Smart Way Consulting Company) will be held on May 16 and 17, under the auspices of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak.

The Organizing Committee confirmed that the sixth edition of the summit keeps pace with the Kingdom’s vision of launching smart and sustainable cities.

The summit will focus on presenting global practices in the digital transformation of smart cities and discussing the most important challenges facing countries in the transition to smart cities.

The summit will also include an exhibition in which more than 20 local and international entities will participate, to showcase the latest solutions and smart building systems, sustainable energy solutions, artificial intelligence systems, and technical solutions for environmental sustainability and waste management.

The minister stated that the summit will be attended by more than 30 speakers and experts specialized in smart city sectors. They will present working papers and discussion sessions highlighting the work of the government and private sectors on the smart initiatives and systems adopted in the new projects.

The sixth edition of the summit will witness distinguished participation from the government and private sectors in Bahrain, as well as the participation of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to increase the exchange of cooperation and experience.
