Shura Chairman hails solid Bahraini-UAE relations

Manama, October 20 (BNA) The Speaker of the Shura Council, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, affirmed that the well-established Bahraini-Emirati brotherly relations are flourishing thanks to the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The President of the State, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al-Saleh expressed his deep pride in the UAE’s honorable stances towards Bahrain, and its cooperation and integration with the Kingdom in various fields, which contributes to achieving progress for the two brotherly peoples and their peoples.

During his meeting here today with Federal National Council Speaker Saqr Ghobash and his accompanying delegation, who are on an official visit to the Kingdom, the President of the Shura praised the common visions between the two countries and their constant keenness to further strengthen them. Noting that the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between them in the health, educational, cultural, commercial and other fields reflect the strength of bilateral relations.

He stressed that the Bahraini Shura Council is proud of its close relations with the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, indicating that the two councils are keen to constantly enhance their constructive cooperation and unify their positions towards various Arab issues in regional and Arab parliamentary forums. .

Al-Saleh praised the role played by Saqr Ghobash, head of the Arab Parliamentary Union, in promoting cooperation between Arab legislative councils.

The Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council praised the efforts made by the Speaker and members of the Shura Council to promote joint Gulf and Arab parliamentary work, pointing to their effective participation in parliamentary meetings, and their keenness to present constructive proposals aimed at developing parliamentary work at the Gulf and Arab levels.

He referred to Bahrain’s distinguished participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, stressing that the ideal relations between the two countries have reached the highest levels, and are progressing steadily to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples under their leadership.
