the opportunity

EY is looking for a Senior Manager to join the team in Kuwait to lead the delivery of our project within the energy sector, specifically power and utilities. This is an opportunity to work in a rapidly changing market with huge potential for career growth.

Your main responsibilities

As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and/or managing FAAS engagements in the energy sector, while collaborating with partner, senior manager and client to define a FAAS strategy that appropriately addresses risks and manages client delivery expectations.

To this end, you will ensure that the FAAS engagement team understands the client’s needs and expectations and that the work product is client focused, clear, accurate and well presented; Ensure timely delivery of work and in compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor performance of the FAAS engagement team against budget and adjust if necessary.

In addition, identification and reporting of relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers relevant to the client will be necessary as well as consulting with appropriate resources on complex accounting issues and participating in the sales of new FAAS business.

To qualify for this role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree and approximately ten years plus relevant work experience
– At least two years’ experience working as a manager
Understand and experience accounting transformation and consulting projects across region and sectors
– CPA / CA / ACCA certification
Strong technical skills and prudent ability recognized for risk management
Strong management skills to lead teams, appropriate delegation, direct, review performance and advise employees
Level of ability and comfort in researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including industry regulations, practices and new technologies

Ideally, you will also have

Experience in the Middle East and North Africa region
