This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a growing team in an emerging market. As a Senior International Tax Officer, your primary focus will be advising global companies on the various regional and international tax implications of their operations. Your main responsibilities
You will be involved in the successful delivery of international tax obligations and ssisting managers or higher while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will contribute to building and maintaining relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with a team of international tax professionals across the MENA region and globally to bring together diverse cross-border expertise and local tax knowledge across a wide range of industries.
You will work as part of a cross-disciplinary/disciplinary team within tax and across other service lines (including working with colleagues from transfer pricing, transaction tax, indirect tax, individual advisory services, etc.) Propose engagement budget, track fees and communicate issues to project managers.
You will build internal relationships within the international tax team and across other service lines and train more entry-level employees through delegation and on-the-job training while taking responsibility for developing ongoing technical knowledge through on-the-job learning and self-development.

To qualify for the role you must have
– Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Economics, Accounting, Finance or any related field
At least 3 years of relevant tax experience, in business or industry
Prior exposure to international taxes with a focus on incoming and outgoing investments
Strong organizational communication skills, project delivery, analytical and verbal/written
– Proven track record with a leading professional services company
Experience in implementing international tax projects and on-the-job training for more junior team members
Ideally, you will also have
An approved professional qualification or equivalent (eg ADIT/ATT/ACCA/CPA/ACA/CA/LLB or MBA, or MA, MA or PhD in taxation, economics, accounting or finance)
– Proficiency in the Arabic language

Review operating model including permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes, transfer pricing, etc.

Revision of the intellectual property structure
– BEPS risk assessments
