what are you going to do

At Chalhoub, together we build distinctive brands. Our Senior Brand Manager is responsible for defining and driving the ‘offer’ and purchasing strategy for various product categories and brands. The job holder is also responsible for defining the business plan for categories, promotion, promotional activities, pricing and negotiations.

strategic:

Develop the department’s business plan in line with the brand’s strategic goals
Formulating and reporting department performance objectives and continuous monitoring of progress and alignment toward strategic objectives

Administrative:

Develop department policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met
– Supervising the department’s operations, providing expertise, encouraging teamwork, and facilitating relevant professional work procedures in order to achieve high performance standards and employees’ pride in contributing
Monitoring the department’s annual budget and spending control to ensure optimal use

Employment:

Defining the supply strategy for the stores in the assigned area in line with the brand values
– Validate the strategy with GM/Captain
– Negotiating annual commercial agreements and marketing ad space with brands
Drive the development of margin and budget targets
Category performance management:
Measure current performance against competition and peer market
– Create different tools to improve the performance of categories
Category management:
Manage retail, seasonal activities and work plans for stores. Follow up on results
– Manage existing catalog, optimizing mix in point of sale
– Identify products with potential and research new products
– Develop a wide range of services (skin care – make-up – lessons – etc.) to suit each category
Preparing periodic category reviews
Supplier Relationships:
Create partnerships with brands and follow up on results
Handling negotiations with existing and potential partners
Implementation of the optimal strategy:
– Trade plan optimization and space allocation against margin size
Develop new promotional aids, tools and concepts
– Coordination of new openings (brands / trade / promotions) or renewal of sales areas
Registration of newly imported trademarks in the market according to the regulations of each country
Brands and Categories Pricing Policies:
Benchmarking of current prices, competition and peer market
Recommends adjustments to pricing policy to the General Manager/Captain
Brand offers:
Handling annual calendar production for promotions and launches for brands etc.
Assess requirements and coordinate with relevant internal/external stakeholders (marketing, visual merchandising, suppliers, category managers and logistics)
– Negotiate with suppliers stock returns (parked and slow moving)

Set individual goals for the purposes of managing employee performance, managing performance, empowering employees, and providing formal and informal feedback in order to support professional development and maximize performance

What you will need to succeed

– University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field
– Fluent in English
3 years of relevant experience as a Senior Brand Manager in a FMCG background or commercial role.
