SCW Secretary-General praises youth participation

Manama, May 25 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, held a remote meeting with members of the Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women and thanked them for their dedicated efforts over the past two years and during the holy month of Ramadan.

She praised the role of the committee, which was formed based on the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women to empower young people and prepare them for the future.

Al-Ansari listened to the youth’s visions, aspirations and suggestions to enhance the committee’s work, stressing the council’s keenness to encourage them to be creative and explore innovative ideas.

She praised the committee’s program, which presents success stories and poses major social issues, such as family stability and financial planning.

Al-Ansari directed to allocate discussion sessions to involve the Youth Committee in evaluating the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women.

She stressed the importance of intensifying the committee’s work to keep pace with developments, as Bahrain prepares for the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will take place at the end of this year.
