SCH President receives Swedish medical delegation

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): The President of the Supreme Council of Health, Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, met with a delegation representing Swedish medical companies.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Walid Al-Manea, the CEO of government hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, and a number of officials.

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised the medical steps taken by Bahrain and the efforts made to provide full health coverage for all segments of society.

During the meeting, he stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with other countries and exchanging experiences and practices to achieve development goals.

The two sides discussed aspects of cooperation between Bahrain and Sweden and other issues of common interest related to health care and medical specializations.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to intensify prevention and disease control, pointing to His Majesty’s success in controlling the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Swedish delegation praised Bahrain’s efforts in developing the health sector, praising its plans and strategies to keep pace with global medical developments.
