Ronaldo scores 112th international goal

Berlin, October 10 (BNA): Cristiano Ronaldo scored again for Portugal in a friendly match against Qatar on Saturday, raising his international record for men to 112 goals.

His goal in the 37th minute made the 3-0 victory in Faro. His Manchester United team-mate Diogo Dalot headed the ball from the line and the 36-year-old took advantage of the weakness of the defense to score easily. Jose Fonte doubled his lead in the second half and Andre Silva added the third goal late, according to the German news agency (dpa).

Qatar, which hosts the 2022 World Cup, will face all the teams in Group A qualifying for the World Cup in friendly matches to give them competitive time before the finals next November.

Portugal are no longer top of Group A now with Serbia’s 1-0 win in Luxembourg to take the lead by a point. But the Portuguese has a game in hand and will host next Luxembourg on Tuesday.
