Risk Manager (Remote Location) | Job in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Faithful+Gould | GulfTalent

We are currently looking for an experienced Risk Manager to be part of our Program Management team based on a large mixed-use development in a remote location in Saudi Arabia.

The primary objective of the PMO/Delivery Biased Program is to implement and manage the comprehensive development program, which includes infrastructure improvement works, as well as retail centers, new hospitality building, sports complex, medical facilities and renovation items. The team is expected to assist the client in any way possible to ensure development is completed from project brief to required timelines and within their stated budgets for multiple projects. The assignment is expected to last up to 3 years with the possibility of an extension.

Role:
Develop, review and update the risk management plan in accordance with the best international standards (ISO, PMI).
Manage risk register based on risk management meetings or updated project reports.
Conduct risk meetings and workshops with project team and stakeholders to identify new risks and update results and risk action plan along with the risk owner.
Perform a qualitative and quantitative risk assessment using Primavera risk analysis software or any other program to perform a Monte Carlo simulation risk analysis.
Develop and monitor the process of managing risks, problems and opportunities
Develop and maintain a risk matrix that identifies the dependencies and impacts of missed deadlines.
– Identify, monitor and manage dependencies and resolve related issues.
Identify opportunities to arrange and coordinate any discussions and agreements necessary to achieve benefits.
Monitor projects and ensure that adequate and robust risk management process is actively managed.
Implementation of the internal project management office risk management plan, risk register and associated governance processes.
Track significant risks to ensure they are identified, recorded, assessed, managed effectively, reassessed regularly, and reported across the programme.
– Identify, communicate and manage internal or external risks.
Develop presentations and dashboards summarizing the status of project and program risks (heat maps, bubble graphs, etc.)

In addition, the client wishes to achieve the following objectives:
Provide accurate and timely management information to the program management team on a regular basis on the status of various projects
To monitor progress and drive delivery of individual projects, challenge and expedite these where appropriate
To enable the management of risks and opportunities at the program level
Promote commonalities and cohesion between different projects
To ensure understanding and management of the interrelationships between various projects
To ensure that appropriate standards are set and adhered to legally and commercially
To ensure the escalation of the risk management process for all project team and its implementation.

Requirements:
– Experience of not less than 10 years
Consultant and/or client background for a minimum of 3 years, preferably at PMO/Program level in the Middle East.
University degree in Engineering / Construction Management.
– Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent
Risk Management Certificate from an internationally recognized institution.
Experience in mixed-use development projects in the Middle East.
– Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
Proven track record of developing and implementing risk management system in large complex projects.
Candidates with digital experience are preferred.
