Registration opens for Khalid bin Hamad Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Competition

Manama, May 7 (BNA): I announced today the approval of registration to participate in the fourth edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Competition.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, issued directives in this regard.

The Higher Organizing Committee, chaired by the Executive Vice President of Resources and Quality at Bahrain Polytechnic, held a meeting and concluded preparations for the 2023 edition.

Bahrain Polytechnic is organizing the Khalid Bin Hamad Competition for Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in a strategic partnership in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority, Microsoft and Almoayyed Computer Middle East (ACME).

Contestants wishing to compete in the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Competition are required to register before the noon deadline on May 13th.

The competition will be open to both university and high school students, provided their age does not exceed 25 years.

The competition tests participants’ abilities to create innovative projects using one of Microsoft’s cloud computing services. The participating teams (each team of 2 to 4 members) will have a minimum period of three weeks to work on the project

There will also be workshops to support the participants during these weeks. The project of each team will be evaluated by the evaluation committee during the exhibition, and the winners will be honored during the closing ceremony of the competition.
