Qatar-backed Al-Jazeera’s incitement campaign condemned

Manama, September 27 (BNA) has strongly condemned the violent defamation campaigns launched by the Qatar-backed Al-Jazeera channel targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Permanent Committee of Human Rights in the House of Representatives denounced the channel, which still claims that inmates are subjected to torture and deprivation of family visits.

The committee, headed by Representative Ammar Al-Bannai, condemned the incitement campaigns carried out by Al-Jazeera to serve suspicious foreign agendas and distort Bahrain’s human rights record, especially the expanded alternative provisions that have won regional and international praise.

The committee supported the statement of the Ministry of Interior, which exposed the baseless allegations of the island and the blatant interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain in an attempt to undermine national unity and social cohesion and destabilize security and stability.

The Committee renewed the Council’s continuous support for the issuance of laws and legislation that guarantee the protection of human rights and the expansion of alternative provisions and measures.
