Provides administrative and technical guidance to all aspects of the department (scheduling, planning, reporting, change order cost estimation and cost engineering) by creating a set of project control procedures, guidelines and flow charts to suit project requirements and needs to support management decision making process.
Lead project control activities, coordinating input from project team functions such as engineering, construction, etc.
Responsible for ensuring the implementation of effective project control measures by the Contractor and Subcontractor organisations, with a particular focus on schedule management, planning and progress monitoring, and recommending modifications to management to ensure that standards and requirements of the Company and the Project Management are met.
Provides an interface between the project manager, business manager, project managers and EPC contractor regarding cost, performance schedule, reporting and approvals.
Responsible for implementing and updating the Project Control Plan, as required.
Coordinate the collection, consolidation, analysis, and reporting of all project costs, schedule, control, direction, and progress measurement information to ensure the overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas are identified. Produces cost estimates on the project as requested by the project leadership
Review project changes and assess any schedule and/or cost impact; Responsible for integrating the impact and impact of approved changes in the total cost and supervision schedule and reporting.
Manage project workforce planning and resource provision, ensuring changes are managed fairly using consistent decision-making criteria across the project.
Monitor contractor performance and progress in the areas of project controls, scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring and cost estimation Evaluate any discrepancies and return to the contractor for clarifications/corrections. Establishes and maintains appropriate, fully integrated and appropriate planning systems for the project.
Review invoices for compliance and completeness, liaise with contractors and/or suppliers and manage accounts payable in resolving inquiries and disputes. Provides data for accounting and auditing functions and ensures that the EPC contractor’s accounting systems meet the company’s audit requirements.
12 years experience in a large project environment within the oil and gas industry, with business management experience including project controls, cost and schedule development, bid preparation and contract management, 3 years supervising multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and as a control leader for mega projects.
