Our client was established by the Saudi government to bring all societies together and develop all sectors and fields with innovative solutions. The organization generates more than $24 million in sales and has more than 850 companies and 700 employees.
They are currently looking for a Project Accounting Officer to be based in Sharma, Saudi Arabia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Close coordination with Procurement and Technical teams to ensure accurate and timely financial management of related projects and contracts within the organization, evaluating and reporting costs and budget projections by month and projects
• An ability to use professional knowledge and skills in financial and transactional accounting principles, including CWIP accounting, cost allocation, account reconciliations and controls, along with a high degree of diligence to contribute proactively to the continuous improvement of the organization’s accounting and reconciliation processes and standards
• Supports and collaborates with commercial and technical teams to ensure that projects are successfully implemented within agreed financial standards with regard to timely registration and settlement of costs incurred
• Supports the Finance Manager with contract reviews. Coordinates with projects, procurement, legal and other stakeholders as needed
• Analysis of CWIP balances in all projects
• Assist in preparing the annual budget
• Support Accounting and Accounts Payable teams to achieve SSO Finance objectives through continuous open lines of communication
• Assist in financial analysis work and complete various assigned activities

Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Business or any related field
• Master’s degree in business or a related field (preferred)
• 8+ years minimum work experience in this field, previous management experience required
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in financial reporting, controls and accounting standards
• Experience in contract review and implementation. Large infrastructure projects are preferred
• High skills in dealing with financial and digital data
• High skills in the use of Excel / PowerPoint
• Highly skilled in the use of MS Word and must be a very good writer to handle occasional departmental administrative needs which may include translation
Preferred professional qualification
• Experience in using a project-based ERP solution, SAP . preferred
• Experience working in a corporate organization in a project accounting function
