You will play a key role in developing a leadership position for Amazon within the MENA region, by managing the long-term relationship between Amazon and 3PL transportation service providers in the UAE. In this context, you will be dealing on a regular basis with our carriers and internal stakeholders, which is why you will need to admire exposure and negotiations.

You will also be responsible for handling challenging operations issues that require in-depth analysis of our distribution network, and you will have the ability to implement solutions that will impact short and long-term operations.
Within the Supply Chain and Transportation teams, you will be responsible for driving improvements to complex logistical problems, pursuing strategic initiatives and managing innovative projects across the ever-expanding MENA Fulfillment Network (and dealing with the inevitable challenges that come with continued and rapid growth).

responsibilities
Perform reviews of performance management metrics (cost, speed, quality, etc.) for offshoring and elicit development improvement plans from it
Leads continuous improvement initiatives with carriers, fulfillment centers and customer service teams to improve customer experience, costs and operations
Set up and lead Call Ops, Daily Business Reviews, WBRs, MBRs and QBRs through 3PL Carriers
Proactively advise Amazon leadership team on critical situations along with expected impact and planned mitigation actions
Prepare and communicate transportation plans/forecasts on a regular basis
· Manages transport related escalation
Leads root cause analysis and successful implementation of corrective actions with causative parties to improve service or cost, or to solve a problem
Drives innovation through new venture ownership and operational success

Basic qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics or any similar field
Relevant experience in transportation or supply chain, preferably in a similar role, within a large scale logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment
Excellent customer service skills and commercial understanding
Ability to perform complex analyzes and make data-driven decisions
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to simplify complex topics to a wide audience.
· Fluent in written and spoken English
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookUps)

Arabic language fluently speaking and writing. Familiarity with operations and supply chain management concepts – forecasting, planning, optimization and logistics – gained through work experience or graduate-level education.
