what are you going to do

At Chalhoub, you will upgrade your daily skills! By acting as an experienced people partner, you will be responsible for helping to attract, develop and support an exceptional group of people. You will work closely with the Brand/Functional Management team to deliver: Operational HR support, strategic advice, mentoring, and best practice solutions. You will do so in line with the Group’s HR policies and principles, while creating dedicated initiatives to enhance the employee experience and support the achievement of business strategies and culture change.

This is a role that combines operational and strategic responsibilities, and requires a strong HR background as well as a sound business presentation and a good mindset to successfully participate and influence in all areas of the business.

Defining, developing and implementing our employees’ vision to support our ambitious business strategy
Review the brand/function operating model and workforce planning approach to ensure optimal organizational structures are in place to support future focus, growth, scalability and employee satisfaction
Work with the team to consider competitor and industry approaches and translate these insights into roadmaps that define employee experience, reveal gaps and weaknesses, and identify key opportunities for business improvement and innovation
Provide guidance and recommendations on the most complex issues, support our team in all relevant people areas including: recruitment, performance management, succession planning, retention, talent development, compensation and rewards, employee relations, employee engagement
Provide clear and inspiring leadership to motivate and develop the team to deliver high quality customer-centric services
Be an active and effective member of the leadership team, ensuring high visibility, focus and delivery of people strategy and culture
Acting as a change agent by finding new ways to improve the employee experience and defining our brand/job value proposition
Lead the development of initiatives in line with the Emiratisation strategy
Continuously evaluate our existing policies, procedures and programs and make recommendations to improve efficiencies and employee satisfaction.
Lead the design and ongoing implementation of brand/recruitment, training and development programs for a specific employee in order to improve the depth and breadth of team skills and raise awareness about behavioral, technical and leadership competencies
Work with the group’s talent acquisition team to ensure that internal and external recruitment strategies lead to the identification of relevant and highly qualified candidates
Work closely with Group Human Resources to implement the annual performance management cycle and act as a change agent within the brand/function to support the introduction of new performance approaches and platform
Continuously review and monitor the effectiveness of employee commission schemes and make recommendations for change
– Define our HiPOs by defining employee attributes; Educate teams about career paths and support all succession planning and talent development activities
Encourage a “growth mindset” among team members by collaborating with our learning team to assess training needs so that relevant and inspiring training and development programs are available and monitoring the brand/job training budget and individual learning consumption
Use all available HR data to ensure that HR analytics support all reporting, action planning, decision making and provide a recommendation for change
Act as a coach and mentor for our employees and provide advice and direction to our leadership team, using HR data analytics, external standards, and best practice methods to support decision making
– As part of our cultural transformation, provide advice and guidance to leaders and managers on how to act as role models to create a positive and inspiring collective climate
Supporting group and brand/functional diversity and inclusion initiatives, with a primary focus on culture change, nationalization and employee wellbeing
Collaborate with the group’s people experience team to design employee engagement surveys, and are responsible for planning necessary actions and improvement goals
Develop key performance indicators to help identify progress and improvements made to employee engagement and ensure continuous improvement
Manage all people and handle relevant employee communications, using My Chalhoub and other inspiring techniques to include key messages.
Lead/support annual workforce planning with brand/functional leaders and ensure vacancies are managed in line with approved budget and executed according to correct recruitment process
– Evaluate existing roles and make recommendations for new roles in coordination with the Business Head and Vertical Head of People
Participation in the recruitment process through assessment centers or competency-based interviews
Review all proposed internal transfers within the vertical sector and make recommendations
Ensure that all escalating employee complaints are closed
