Pediatric cancer heroes celebrate Eid Al Fitr

Manama, April 19 (BNA): A group of 45 childhood cancer champions participated in a ceremony on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

The Capital Governorate hosted the festive ceremony in cooperation with “Smile”, one of the initiatives of the Bahrain Future Youth Association that provides psychological and social support for children with cancer and their parents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The ceremony was attended by the Director of Social Programs and Community Affairs in the Capital Governorate, Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, in the presence of other officials and volunteers.

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the “Smile” volunteers and their humanitarian dedication in making the hearts of children with cancer and their families happy. Gifts were distributed to the children during the fun-filled event.

The President of the Bahrain Society for the Future for Youth, Sabah Abdulrahman Al-Zayani, thanked the Capital Governorate for its support, praising the humanitarian “smile” initiative to alleviate the suffering of children.
