Oil Minister receives British ambassador

Manama, May 7 (BNA): The Minister of Oil and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, received the UK Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Roderick Drummond.


They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries and issues of common concern.


Dr. Bin Dinah praised the deep historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom and their mutual keenness to strengthen them in various fields. He noted the diplomatic role in this regard, congratulating the British ambassador on the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Chairman of the Common Wealth Council. He wished the United Kingdom more growth and prosperity during the reign of King Charles III.


The two sides discussed a number of issues in the oil and environment sector and reviewed ways to enhance investment opportunities between the two sides. They also highlighted ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest.


Dr. Bin Dinah affirmed the Bahraini government’s keenness to consolidate cooperation with the rest of the world and consolidate strategic partnerships, especially in the field of oil and the environment.


The British ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Oil and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs for the kind welcome, praising Bahrain’s achievements mainly in the field of oil and the environment, wishing the Kingdom more growth and prosperity.
