Oil Minister participates in UAE Climate Tech Forum

Abu Dhabi, May 13 (BNA): Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dinah, praised the pioneering role of the UAE in supporting modern technologies to remove carbon and build the economy and green industries. He praised the wide range of environmental and climate initiatives launched by Abu Dhabi in the Year of Sustainability.

This came during the minister’s participation in the Emirates Climate Technology Forum, which was sponsored by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, in partnership with the Emirati energy and technology companies ADNOC and Masdr.

The forum was attended by the UAE Minister of Economy His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of State for Public Education Affairs and Advanced Technology, Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, and First Minister of Singapore. Tharman Shanmugaratnam. More than 1,000 policy makers, CEOs, experts, specialists and investors from all over the world participated in the event.

The Minister of Oil and Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs praised the UAE’s professional organization of major conferences and events, especially those aimed at preserving the environment and dealing with climate change by switching to clean energy and investing in renewable energy. He stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to continue to enhance cooperation in the field of environment and climate.
