Northern Governor visits community centres

Manama, August 5 (BNA) Based on the directives of the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to determine the security, service and health needs of the Al-Matames, the Governor of the North, Ali Abdul-Hussain Al Khalifa. Asfour continued his inspection visits to community centers during the Ashura commemoration.


In this regard, Al-Asfour, accompanied by the Deputy Governor, Brigadier General Khaled Rabia Sinan, the Chairman of the Ashura Committee in the Northern Governorate, Mr. Sharif Abdullah, and other officials visited Al-Sahla Al-Shamaliah, Jannusan, Wajd Al-Hajj and Al-Janoub. Karana Community Centres.


The governor praised the efforts of the community center departments and sub-committees to ensure the outstanding organization of the Ashura rituals, praising their cooperation and coordination with the security and service authorities to make the Ashura memorial a success.


The governor indicated that in light of the rising temperatures, the Northern Governorate provided a number of volunteer paramedics to support a medical team for emergency cases during mourning processions, and distributed 45,000 bottles of water, in cooperation with the Crown Medical Center.


He also stressed the need to ensure food safety in community centers during Ashura.


He also called on the departments of community centers to register in the pilot program “Choose Your Doctor” in coordination with the Supreme Council of Health.


The heads of the community centers expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Governor of the North and his deputy for their visit, wishing them a happy new year on this religious occasion.
