Manama, March 7 (BNA): Nominations for the seventh cycle of the Award of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for the Advancement of Bahraini Women will begin in May 2022.

This came during a remote meeting held by the award committee to approve the work plan and discuss the results of the award since its establishment by royal order in 2004, the Secretary of the Supreme Council for Women Hala Al-Ansari.

The committee also discussed strengthening the award with regard to participation and evaluation mechanisms, such as adopting the data of the national gender balance report for the public sector to compete for the award, and giving more weight to efforts and initiatives aimed at integrating the needs of women during the pandemic. interval.

Al-Ansari stressed the steps taken by the Council, twenty years after its establishment, to narrow the gap between public policies and operational strategies, and to build effective national partnerships to achieve gender balance.

The jury highlighted the increasing impact of the award, which is represented in the diversity of practical practices that are monitored to achieve a balance between the work environment and family responsibilities, which reflects positively on productivity and job development.

They emphasized the award’s role in spreading policies that support gender balance and adherence to the requirements of the national plan for the advancement of Bahraini women.
