Manama, November 1 (BNA) The President of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi, received the Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq Department of the European Union, Anna Maria Panagiotakubulu.
The head of the National Institution for Human Rights praised the bilateral relations at all levels, and stressed the importance of these visits in developing the field of human rights under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The meeting discussed issues of common interest and the institution’s means of addressing these issues and its role in spreading, promoting and protecting human rights in Bahrain.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the human rights and legal fields, especially organizing conferences and workshops, exchanging experiences and building national capacities.
