Manama, October 12 (BNA) President of the National Institution for Human Rights Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi received a delegation from the US Congress.
Al-Darazi briefed them on the role of the National Institution for Human Rights in spreading, promoting and protecting human rights, and its role in light of the spread of the epidemic by following up on the precautionary measures taken by the Kingdom in prisons and rehabilitation centers.
He explained that the practice of religious rites in Bahrain comes within the framework of ensuring public and personal freedoms and equality for all without discrimination on the basis of race, language, religion or gender.
The delegation exchanged issues of common interest.
