NIHR highlights Bahrain’s experience in human rights

Manama, May 17 (BNA): The National Institution for Human Rights and the Council of Representatives held a meeting with an Asian delegation from about 23 Asian parliaments, as well as the Permanent Committee for Economic and Sustainable Development, in the capital. Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

The Chairman of the National Institution for Human Rights, Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in the field of human rights, which led to the establishment of the National Institution for Human Rights and the development of the Kingdom in various fields.

He praised the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to develop the institution.

Al-Derazi stressed the importance of these meetings to review Bahrain’s efforts in the field of human rights thanks to its legislative, judicial and legal system, which enabled it to be in the ranks of developed countries.
