Manama, June 18 (BNA): The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gems (Danat) announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain is preparing to host a pioneering event, which is the inaugural international auction of natural pearls.
This historic auction will be held at Danat’s headquarters, located in the prestigious Bahrain World Trade Center in Manama. This highly anticipated event will begin on June 20, showcasing the splendor of natural pearls to a global audience.
This event marks an important milestone for Bahrain, as it serves as a prime destination for this auction. The auction, which was launched by the Rapaport Group in the United States on June 7, has already traversed many cities in and outside the United States.
Danat has been instrumental in collecting, grading and certifying pearls. Only natural pearls will be offered for sale, and everything will be certified as natural by Danat.

The Rapaport International Group will supervise the management of the auctions in cooperation with a group of specialized companies. The auction will exclusively include participation by registered companies, with individual participation not available.
Natural pearls are among the rarest gifts of nature – so rare that until now no one has been able to offer them for sale on a regular basis. Bahrain has produced natural pearls for centuries as it is blessed with seabeds fed by fresh water, which is an ideal environment for the growth of natural pearls.
