HRH Prince Abdul Mateen visits EDB

Manama, June 11 (BNA): Within the framework of the current official visit of His Majesty Sultan Haj Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul-Mateen bin Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah visited today the headquarters of the Economic Development Board. Upon his arrival, His Highness Prince Abdul-Mateen was received by the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in the presence of ministers and officials from the two countries.

The minister welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Abdul-Mateen, stressing the importance of the results of the official talks that took place between His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, in expanding the areas of cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries. At all levels, highlighting the steady progress of relations between the two countries at all levels.

Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa affirmed the keenness of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to continue strengthening bilateral relations at all levels.

He stressed the two countries’ joint keenness to strengthen the existing relations between them, which opens wider horizons for expanding the scope of cooperation in all fields, especially trade, economy and investment, which requires persistent and continuous work to achieve optimal benefit. One of the attractive elements for investment in the two countries, which would enable businessmen and private sector institutions to explore new promising opportunities.

The Brunei delegation watched a presentation highlighting the promising investment opportunities in Bahrain, in addition to the services provided by the Economic Development Board to investors and efforts to diversify the economy.

The presentation also highlighted the efforts of the Economic Development Board to enhance investments between Bahrain and global markets, in a way that contributes to attracting direct investments to the Kingdom, which led to the creation of quality job opportunities for the national workforce.
