Manama, July 21 (BNA): The Governor of the North, Ali bin Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Al-Asfoor, praised the opening speech delivered by the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
In his address to the heads and officials of community centers and members of the Husseini marches on the occasion of Ashura, the minister stressed the importance of respecting the spiritual and specific features of the event.
The minister also stressed the importance of harnessing all efforts to deal with security and social phenomena.
Al-Asfoor stressed the health, cultural and sports programs and events organized by the Northern Governorate throughout the year to raise community awareness and involve youth in cooperation with civil society institutions.
This came during a tour of the funeral home to inspect the ongoing preparations for the commemoration of Ashura, in the presence of representatives of the Jaafari Endowments and the Police Directorate.
He urged the heads of obsequies and processions to take into account the aspects of the organization and to take all precautionary measures in cooperation with paramedics.
