Labour Market Regulatory Authority intensifies inspection campaigns

Manama, June 23 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority announced the implementation of five joint inspection campaigns, in coordination with the relevant government agencies in all governorates, with the aim of verifying compliance with laws and regulations and addressing illegal practices. affecting the labor market.

The inspection campaigns included visits to a number of commercial establishments, work sites and a number of health institutions, and resulted in the reporting of a number of violations.

The violations were recorded and referred to take legal action, and the authority implemented a joint campaign in coordination with the National Authority for Regulating the Health Sector and the General Authority for Social Insurance in the capital and the northern and southern governorates.

A joint inspection campaign was also implemented in the Capital Governorate with the participation of the Ministry of Interior represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Police Directorate in the governorate, in addition to the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Interior. Commerce and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, while the third campaign came in coordination with the Directorate of Execution of Judgments at the Ministry of Interior in the Capital Governorate.

Two inspection campaigns were also implemented in Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, to monitor cases of human trafficking and forced labour.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies to address illegal practices in the labor market by filling out the electronic reporting form on the official website of the authority www.lmra.gov. bh or call the authority’s call center at 17506055.
