Tourism Minster visits RUW; discusses future opportunities in tourism sector

Manama, June 18 (BNA): Tourism Minister Fatima bint Jaafar Al-Sairafi visited the Royal University for Women and met with Professor Yusra Mozaqi, the university president and the university’s board of trustees.

Al-Serafi affirmed the Ministry’s keenness to enhance the promising job and investment opportunities provided by the tourism sector for Bahraini female students, graduates, entrepreneurs and businesswomen. This includes job opportunities in various departments of tourism establishments, such as management and accounting, as well as in companies specializing in organizing entertainment events, travel agencies, and others.

Professor Mozgi gave an overview of RUW’s programmes, achievements and future plans.

They shared ideas on promoting youth inclusion in the growing tourism sector, with a special focus on women.

The Minister praised the vision and mission of RUW University in graduating generations of pioneering Bahraini students in various academic fields.

It encouraged university students and alumni to explore business opportunities in the tourism sector and establish innovative projects and companies that offer unique products and services in various fields.

The minister affirmed that the tourism sector welcomes the new generation of Bahraini women. And she highlighted many success stories of pioneering women who established their own establishments, such as restaurants and others.

She expressed her confidence in the exceptional capabilities of Bahraini women in various sectors and fields, stressing their ability to excel in the tourism sector.

The members of the RUW Board of Trustees and the university’s administrative staff expressed their appreciation for the minister’s visit.

Professor Mozgi emphasized the RUW’s commitment to the advancement of education, with the aim of ensuring its mission of empowering women leaders. She emphasized the importance of Minister Al-Serafi’s visit, as it is an exceptional occasion to emphasize the university’s commitment to promoting community participation, in line with Bahrain’s Vision 2030, and to create a prominent platform to promote positive models.
