Syria’s Earthquake Center records 7 quakes over past 24 hours


Damascus, June 13 (BNA): The Syrian News Agency stated today, Monday, that the Syrian National Seismological Center recorded seven weak earthquakes during the past 24 hours.


The Middle East News Agency (MENA) stated in a statement issued by the Commission that the stations of the National Seismological Network recorded 4 tremors in Turkey with a magnitude ranging between 3.7 and 2.5 degrees, in addition to an earthquake in Alexandretta with a magnitude of 1.5.


The center added that the stations also recorded a 2.5-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale, 26 km northwest of Latakia, and a 2.3-magnitude earthquake on the Lebanese coast, southwest of Beirut.
