Madrid, June 13 (BNA): The door is open for Real Madrid to try to sign Kylian Mbappe, because the French star decided not to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2025.
Karim Benzema’s sudden departure from Madrid leaves the Spanish giants short of a star striker, and Mbappe fits perfectly in the law, reports the Associated Press.
It could be the third time Real Madrid have been unlucky, after PSG rejected an offer of 180 million euros ($190 million) for Mbappe in 2021.
Real Madrid missed out again last year when he signed Mbappe amid frenzied speculation that Madrid would lead him to join a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
It included an option for an additional year. Now he has told the club that he will not be extending his contract by 12 months, which expires at the end of next season.
