Manama, June 26 (BNA): The Executive Advisory Board of the Sheikh Nasser Center for Research and Development of Artificial Intelligence met in its third meeting.
Members representing the Central Bank of Bahrain, government hospitals, the Shura Council, the Bureau of Financial Supervision, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, the Survey and Land Registration Authority, and the Information and e-Government Authority. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Interior, Bapco, the Economic Development Board and other entities.
The session reviewed the center’s achievements for the first half of 2023, especially the artificial intelligence projects that were implemented with more than 40 companies and nine other regional partners.
The members also discussed future development projects and initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of innovation and investment in research and development.
The session discussed plans to hold an annual conference on artificial intelligence in Bahrain, stressing the need to develop policies for governance and ethics of artificial intelligence and focus on education in the field of artificial intelligence in the early years.
The CEO of Nasser Vocational Training Center (NVTC) Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi expressed his happiness with the increasing number of partners from the public and private sectors.
