HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (50) of 2023

Manama, July 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Resolution No. (50) of 2023 amending the provisions of Resolution No. (33) of 2012 regarding the purchase of additional virtual years. The service is for public sector employees based on the proposal of the Civil Service Bureau and after the approval of the Council of Ministers.

According to the decree, the phrase “Ministry of Finance and National Economy” replaces the phrase “Ministry of Finance,” and the phrase “Civil Service Bureau” (a body) replaces the phrase “Civil Service Bureau” whenever it appears in the decision. (33) for the year 2012.

A new article (Article Three bis) shall be added to Resolution No. (33) of 2012, and Article (8) shall be added to Article Four of the same decree as follows:

Article Three repeated:
The remuneration referred to in Article Two of this decision is calculated according to Table No. 6 attached to Law (13) of 1975 regarding the organization of pensions and retirement benefits for government employees. It is applied to employees at the age of 60 and to employees who continue their service after the age of 60.

Article Four, Clause 8:

8- Death.

According to the decision, Article 63 of the list of salaries and job benefits for employees subject to the Civil Service Bureau issued by Resolution No. (77) of 2013 is cancelled.

The competent authorities, each within its jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this decision, and it shall come into effect from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
