Education Ministry, Samsung Electronics sign MoU

Manama, July 9 (BNA): The Ministry of Education signed today a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Electronics.

Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate to accelerate the use of technology in achieving the ministry’s goals in the areas of digital empowerment and artificial intelligence.

The agreement also aims to provide opportunities for evaluation and experimental use of available products and technology by students and teachers, in addition to holding technical workshops and training courses.

The Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies and Performance, Nawal Al-Khater, concluded the deal with Dohei Lee, a representative of Samsung Electronics.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy CEO of Bin Hindi Group, member of the Board of Directors Abdulaziz Abdullah Bin Hindi, Assistant Undersecretary for Services Haitham Issa Al Sahli and other specialists.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, a specialized workshop was held that focused on the company’s most important products and innovations in the field of education, next-generation technology and future smart projects.

He also highlighted the company’s successful steps in the field of using smart devices in education, and identified ways to improve such advanced devices in the educational process.
