Manama Capital of Arab Media 2024 reflects Bahrain’s media freedom strides, BJA Chairman

Makkah Al-Mukarramah, June 24 (BNA): The President of the Bahraini Journalists Association, Issa Al-Shayji, praised the selection of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, Manama, as the capital of Arab media for the year 2024.

He pointed out that choosing Manama reflects Bahrain’s press and media steps within the development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

In today’s statement, Al-Shayji praised the efforts of the Ministry of Information, led by Dr. Ramadan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, which earned Bahrain this Arab media achievement.

He also praised the efforts of the Bahraini media in defending just Arab causes, and affirmed the commitment of the press community to contribute to the success of Manama 2024 as the capital of Arab media.
