Manama, June 26 (BNA): The Governor of the North, Ali Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Al-Asfoor, received today the Coordinator of the Healthy Cities Program at the Ministry of Health, Hawra Al-Shualah.
The two sides discussed the criteria for accrediting the “healthy city” and the plans developed to enable the northern governorate to become a healthy governorate.
They also reviewed areas of cooperation and coordination to complete the accreditation requirements prior to the visits of the expert concerned with the World Health Organization.
He stressed that based on the directives of the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, to implement the “Healthy Cities” initiative. In the various governorates, the Northern Governorate has formed a specialized team to develop the necessary plans to achieve all accreditation standards.
