Cairo, July 4 (BNA): Egypt and Turkey appointed ambassadors to each of the two countries to restore normal diplomatic relations.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Amr Al-Hamami was Egypt’s ambassador to Ankara, while Turkey nominated Saleh Mutlu Sen as its ambassador to Cairo.
“This step aims to establish normal relations between the two countries again and indicates their mutual determination to work towards strengthening their bilateral relations,” the statement said.
They agreed to reappoint ambassadors again in April after their foreign ministers met in Cairo.
