Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, received Yasser Al-Abbasi, CEO of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC).
The meeting discussed cooperation in the landscaping sector.
The minister stressed the importance of the existing partnership with the private sector to promote agriculture and raise awareness of environmental protection, praising the GPIC initiative to support afforestation projects and contribute to preserving the environment.
Al-Mubarak affirmed the ministry’s keenness to coordinate with GPIC to exchange experiences and implement projects concerned with preserving the environment.
The CEO of GPIC said that the company seeks to participate in afforestation projects as part of the company’s social commitments to support projects that serve the environment, provide food security, increase the green area in the Kingdom, and improve the urban level of the population.
