Manama, May 14 (BNA): Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak said that 504 building permits were issued between January 1 and May 7 through a system of buildings with a total area of 384,000 square meters.
The minister indicated that urban housing applications represent 75%, or 380 permits out of 504, followed by requests of a special nature, which reach 18%, or 94 permits, while the number of permits for investment buildings reached 4%.
He pointed out that the Building Permits System “Banayat” issued 1,565 permits in 2022.
Al-Mubarak confirmed that the system has improved permit application procedures by 2.2 working days out of 5 working days for the level of service.
