Minister hails Bahrain’s digital education strides

Manama, October 14 (BNA) The Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, indicated that education in the Kingdom has achieved a qualitative leap since the launch of the King Hamad Schools for the Future project in 2005 AD. Digital Empowerment in Education Program 2015, based on the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The minister stressed that a number of prestigious international entities have re-established the Kingdom’s steps in the field of digital education, citing the Microsoft Corporation, which awarded nine government schools the classification of “technology incubator schools”, and awarded high-level professional certificates to hundreds of Bahraini teachers.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi was speaking during the opening of the “EduNET Expo” exhibition at Sheikh Abdullah Bin Issa Technical School for Boys.

The Minister praised the creative idea of ​​the exhibition, which is based on simulating the sections of the educational portal through realistic sections and models implemented by students and teachers.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi highlighted the importance of EduNET, which has become one of the pillars of education during the spread of the Corona virus epidemic, noting that the number of visits to the educational portal has exceeded 10 million so far this academic year, and 68 million last. general.

The Minister honored a number of teachers for their excellence in activating the educational portal EduNET, and a souvenir was presented by the design and establishment of the Carpentry Department.
