Mexico bus plunges off cliff, at least 18 die

Mexico City, May 1 (BNA): At least 18 people were killed and 33 others injured when a bus fell off a cliff in western Mexico, local authorities announced Sunday.


The attorney general’s office in Nayarit, the state where the crash occurred, said the car plunged 15 meters (49.21 feet) into a ravine on Saturday night, on a highway connecting state capital Tepic and tourist destination Puerto Vallarta, Reuters reported.


Authorities reported that 11 women and seven men were killed. At least 11 minors have been taken to hospitals for medical care.
