McKennie left out of Juventus squad amid possible Leeds move

Roma, January 28 (BNA): American midfielder Weston McKinney has been left out of Juventus’ squad for the weekend’s clash amid a possible move to the Premier League.

McKennie has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds, which is coached by American Jesse Marsh, according to the Associated Press.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed on Saturday that McKennie had not been called up for Sunday’s match against Monza.

The 24-year-old McKinney joined Juventus from Schalke 04 in 2020, becoming the Bianconeri’s first American player. He made nearly 100 appearances for Juventus, scoring 13 goals.

McKinney was a regular in the USA World Cup squad, scoring nine goals in 41 appearances for his country.
