Charterhouse is currently working with a leading Qatari group client who is currently looking to appoint a Managing Director for the Industrial Supply and Projects divisions. This role should oversee the portfolio of groups across electrical and industrial supplies, security services and telecom companies.
The General Manager will have overall responsibility for industrial procurement, project P&L and working capital, and the implementation of strategic and operational excellence to maximize the division’s overall growth and profitability.
This senior management role will assess the current operational capability of the group and identify strengths and gaps such as service productivity, product improvement and reduction of unprofitable areas, in order to capitalize on significant expansion.
Concurrently, the Managing Director will protect the Group’s assets, and oversee the company’s financial performance, including pricing strategies, revenue streams, and margin contributions, to achieve the objectives of both the Board of Directors and shareholders.
The role will ensure that business operations are conducted in accordance with the division’s and company’s general procedures, policies and values. Furthermore, you will communicate with other functional division managers to understand all aspects and needs required for operational development, maintain regular lines of communication, and prepare and review KPIs.
The client will be looking to hire a senior management specialist with proven experience in leading and growing international or regional organizations with a variety of technical divisions, and developing strategic and business plans.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and know how to motivate and communicate effectively with department managers so that they can perform and exceed financial and operational expectations. Experience within the region and in-depth knowledge of GCC markets is essential for this role.
