Man City wins English Premier League

London May 20 (BNA): Arsenal’s collapse at the end of the season is complete. Manchester City is the Premier League champion again, reports the Associated Press.

A 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest capped off a stunning implosion against Arsenal in a title race that ended on Saturday, with City leading by four points without playing.

It is City’s seventh league title in a 12-year period during which the Abu Dhabi-owned club has changed the face of the English game with its wealth and dominance under Pep Guardiola.

City’s latest trophy is Guardiola’s fifth in seven years with the club as much thanks to an end-of-season winning streak of 11 in a row as it is to a collapse at the hands of Arsenal, at a time when a first league title since 2004 was on the horizon.

Arsenal took an eight-point lead on April 1 but have since won just two of their eight matches and will not win the league despite being in first place for 248 days this season.
