LMRA conducts two joint inspection campaigns in Muharraq and Southern Governorates

Manama, May 24 (BNA): The Labor Market Regulatory Authority carried out two joint inspection campaigns in the Muharraq Governorate and the Southern Governorate on a number of shops and work sites.

The campaigns resulted in reports of violations of labor market and residency laws. Cases have been referred for legal action.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority indicated that a joint inspection campaign was implemented in the southern governorate, in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and the Governorate Police Directorate.

The other inspection campaign took place in Muharraq Governorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Criminal Evidence at the Ministry of Interior.

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority has renewed its call to all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations through the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call center at 17506055.
